One thousand kilometres over seven days, and more than $1.5 million raised by the Queensland riders — the highest amount for any Chain Reaction ride.

2022 Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation Corporate Bike Ride

Here at Broadley Rees Hogan Lawyers, we have a tradition of giving back to our community, particularly to charities that rely heavily on fundraising activities and donations.

We are one of the sponsors of the annual Chain Reaction Challenge, a corporate bike ride of 1,000 kilometres over seven days. In 2022 the Chain Reaction Challenge was held in Tasmania.

This year the Queensland riders raised the highest amount for a Chain Reaction ride, raising more than $1.5 million. Over the last 15 years the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation has raised more than $36 million.

Michael Byrom, Head of our Property Services group, has been closely involved in the Challenge since 2008 and has now completed 15 rides for the Foundation. On the ride, Michael was team captain for one of the Hutchinson Builders teams. Hutchies is a major Australian construction company who, along with many other local businesses and corporates, share our philosophy and support the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation.

AEIOU Foundation and Traction were this year's principal charity partners for the Queensland Challenge. The funds raised will provide tangible infrastructure for early intervention programs for children with autism, and mentoring and training for young children and adolescents.
