That requires the names of the parties. It is also why you should not send confidential material until we have confirmed we are able to act.

Yes. A transfer part-way through is common, particularly where a matter has changed character. We obtain the file from the previous firm, review where things stand, and give you a view on the position and the cost of continuing before you commit.

For work that can be scoped — a lease, a business sale, a will, a shareholders agreement, a development approval application — yes. Disputes are harder to fix in advance because the other side controls half the variables, so we work to stage estimates and tell you when the position moves.
